I want my art to bring out the splendor of God's creation.  Day after day in the media we hear about the ugly side of life.  When bombarded on every side by disaster after disaster, catastrophe after catastrophe, it's easy to forget that we can choose to look for the beauty that is still all around us. 

My travels have have contributed to my love for bright, bold color.  I spent much of my life living in California, as well as over eleven years living in Hawaii.  I have traveled extensively in Mexico, Canada, and many parts of the United States.  I have also spent time in Greece, Turkey,  the Caribbean, and Tahiti. 

I spend the majority of my time in my home in Tucson, Arizona, not far from Tempe where my mother grew up, but am also a part time resident of Hawaii.  Most often preferring to paint with layers of pure color and not doing much mixing, my colors are vibrant, often reflecting my love for southwestern and tropical subjects. 

I have a love of parrots, and enjoy going to Benson, Arizona-- to Oasis Sanctuary--a beautiful and loving parrot rescue.  I paint many of their birds, and love donating to their auctions in order to help raise money to help care for them.  

It is my desire to convey joy, hope, love, and aesthetic pleasure through my work, and have you enjoy it for a lifetime on your walls!
